INVENTORY · His canon clothing. · His canon sword, The Burning Thorn. · His half of The Founder's Grasp, a pair of bracelets of which Clive possesses the twin. NOTE: Ydalir has enchanted this bracelet, allowing Joshua to assume the form of a small, cockatiel-sized Phoenix. · His copy of the Journal of Moss. · A photographed family portrait of his own family, in fine (but not royal) clothing and appearing happy. · A stock of medicine for his coughing, supplied by Pure Vanilla Cookie. · An ear cuff, custom made by Sesa and gifted to him by Dion. NOTE: Ydalir has enchanted this ear cuff, allowing Joshua to create a small ball of light similar to Dion's that fires three quick laser blasts before disappearing. · A small stolas, requested from home. Her name is Willowisp, and she coos a lot and accepts snacks. NOTE: Pure Vanilla Cookie has now linked her as Joshua's familiar. |

And I wonder what her file says about you? "As stubborn as his brother, but far more polite" probably.
[ It wouldn't, Clive would simply find a way to take the bed with him on his excursions. Speaking of beds, he gestures for Joshua to take the one there is, moving himself around the room as he does. Checking it for traps. Trying to figure out how to block the window. He can move the dresser - so he does.
He doesn't trust it here. ]
Will you argue with me if I tell you to rest while I take watch?

I wouldn't doubt it. Neither of us have really been the type to sit still for long.
[ Tarja didn't know what she was getting into with the Rosfields, did she. Oh well.
And speaking of not sitting still, there goes Clive scoping out the room. Joshua is at least kind enough to allow him to make sure it's safe, though briefly he does furrow his brow as the dresser is moved in front of the window. So much for a view... as little as there is, at any rate. ]
Only if you don't argue with me when I ask you the same thing later on.
[ A raised eyebrow, and a slight little twitch of a smirk. Like for like, brother. ]

All right, I'll give you this one. I'll rest after you.
[ Window blocked, door locked, and he moves his sword closer to the couch as he sits himself back down, arms folding again. This time avoiding the spring. He doubts his brother is tired just yet though, but it helps to put the thought into his mind.
And to let silence fall between them, comfortable and familial. And no, his head doesn't nod a little. ]

I'll hold you to that.
[ Joshua smiles, nodding, and moves to the bed as his brother begins to lock the room down. He certainly isn't tired yet, but he will lay down regardless. Resting is resting even if you aren't sleeping, and it will keep Clive from fussing.
But after a while of laying there with nothing to show for it, he does notice that head nodding, sir. With a soft sigh, he shifts in the bed, getting to his feet. He would bring Clive a blanket, but there's little point in it. ]
It may be time for us to switch places.

[ Am not tired dies on his lips when a yawn interrupts him, and he grumbles a soft noise. Founder take him, the day wore on him more than he thought. The chill, the odd drain of his powers. He frowns - he's not pouting - and slouches a little further into the couch. Reaches up to unhook the cape from his shoulders and pull it off, then over him as a makeshift blanket. ]
I'll nap but wake me before you begin to fall asleep.
[ He tries to make it commanding but it falls flat because they both know Clive can't really order his brother around. It's quite the opposite, honestly.
But he'll try. In that please listen to your brother manner. ]

I promise, the moment I begin to feel tired, I'll wake you.
[ And while Clive settles in, Joshua will move to the desk, pulling out the seat and the journal that he'd found. While Clive catches up on his rest, he'll do some research. ]
