    appearing happy.
· A stock of medicine for his coughing, supplied by Pure Vanilla Cookie.
· An ear cuff, custom made by Sesa and gifted to him by Dion.
    NOTE: Ydalir has enchanted this ear cuff, allowing Joshua to create a small ball of light
    similar to Dion's that fires three quick laser blasts before disappearing.
· A small stolas, requested from home. Her name is Willowisp, and she coos a lot and
    accepts snacks.
    NOTE: Pure Vanilla Cookie has now linked her as Joshua's familiar.

[ This is quite possibly the strangest thing to happen to him here so far. ]

Ah... I see. Is this some sort of contest?

[ Is that it? A bit of an aggressive approach, but he can always appreciate a good contest. Gesturing with a slight cant of his head for Bakugo to follow, he steps aside to the porch of the inn, because he surely can't take a bite while both hands are occupied with plates. Both are settled on the edge of the porch, where he proceeds to sample a bite of each one.

They certainly do taste like eggs. ]

Well... they are both quite lovely. But I may be more partial to the texture of these.

[ He gestures toward... the scrambled eggs! ]

You'd have liked it with Hasbrowns then, and maybe a side of something cool with it - like a westerner's dish. [ Bakugo says this with the most obvious eyes looking up and down at Joshua. As if to say - oh that makes sense, white boy. ]

The best choice, the right choice, was made by me. [ His arms are crossed, seeing as he sampled them and seemed to like them. ] You going to finish it? Don't waste food.

[ ... why does he vaguely feel as though he's being scrutinized. ]

A westerner's dish... [ He's not sure what that means. But Rosaria had been on the westernmost coast of Valisthea, so perhaps... ] I'm afraid that I am not familiar with any of that, but considering you are the one that made the dish, I will take your word for it.

[ And of course he's finishing it. The chiding makes him laugh quietly as he lifts the plate to take another bite. ]

Out of curiosity, what is all of this about?

[ It's an excuse to push himself into socializing with others, in a natural way that he otherwise would be unable to formulate. Especially, despite his introverted nature, Bakugo acknowledges that he needs to observe and study the people in this place that he's trapped alongside with-trying to understand them and this situation better. ]

To prove I was fucking right. [ Is what he says, extending his hand to take the empty plate(s). ] That damn old man with dementia thinks he's all that, so I am here to prove him I'm the better cook.

Oh! I see.

[ He seems like a very... energetic individual. Almost like Mid, in some sort of way. Though, he can't imagine Mid cooking. The thought honestly makes him shudder a little.

But he does hand back the empty plates once he's finished. It isn't as though it takes a long time to finish off two eggs. ]

Who is this old man, if I may ask? And am I the only one you've come to thus far?

Don't know, he's got a burn on his face and a stupid tail. Also, there are 5 others; you're one of 5, so don't get too excited. [ Both empty plates are in his hands; at least he is going to clean them up politely! Even if he is a rough-speaking guy. ] It's not like you're special or anything like that. The hell you asking for?

[ A burn on his face and a tail... Joshua folds his arms, frowning thoughtfully. His first thought goes to Clive, but the scar on his face isn't a burn, and it doesn't exactly sound like something he would do. Hmm. ]

You got into an argument and a subsequent contest with someone you don't even know...?

[ Well. Okay. That's just how some people are, he supposes! ]

I was asking because I was curious if there was a score being kept already. I'm interested to know who is winning.

I GOT INTO A CONTEST WITH A FUCKER WHO THINKS HE WAS BETTER THAN ME; WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT TO KNOW? [ Unfortunately, he snaps and starts barking loudly at him. ] STOP ACTING LIKE THIS IS A CRIME, and if you OUGHT to know, then just fucking come back and find me LATER LIKE I KNOW THE ANSWER NOW!

[ Unfortunately, all the barking does is make Joshua blink in mild surprise. ]

[ It was an innocent question, wasn't it? ]

If you are the one handing out the eggs, I thought you might know already...

[ He's quick to question Joshua's thinking and - ]

What the hell do you get out of knowing?

[ This is, quite possibly, the most baffling conversation he has ever had. ]

Sated curiosity. I assure you, I did not ask for nefarious reasons. It was an effort of support.

Tch. [ Click of his tongue, clearly being annoyed for no reason other than to be annoyed. ] We'll youre the second I've talked to, ain't going to help you figure anything out, eh? You both chose the scrambled. LIke you should, because both of you know good taste.

[ What a... confident person. ]

Well, it certainly sounds like you're on your way. I wish you continued success.

[ Joshua smiles... and holds out a hand. For a handshake, hopefully. At this rate, he doesn't fully know what to expect. ]

I am Joshua. It is a pleasure to meet you.

[ If not for the fact he just had the shock of his life and is in the middle of a meltdown that is brewing... Bakugo would have confidently shook Joshua's hand and responded with a bit of malice - just to make a point. However, at this moment, Bakugo looks at his hand - confused for a moment. Forgetting that this was normal to do and that it had been a while since he had even a morsel of normal human interaction. Not since the situation at UA continued to go downhill.

Usually, he would badger the other person for wanting to touch him, but, well... ]

Katsuki Bakugo. [ Awkwardly, but with the stiffness of someone way too cordial and professional with it. Bakugo shakes Joshua's hand. ] It's Bakugo to you though.

[ Well, it's a handshake! However stiff it is. Joshua accepts it with a smile, nodding to the intended name as he lets the grip go. ]

Bakugo, then. I will remember it.

[ How quaint! He's being given a preferred name. He takes it as a good sign - perhaps he doesn't like the other part of his name? ]

I would love to hear how your contest ends, once it has. You can find me at the clinic most days, if you feel like dropping by.

That's only if I pass by; [ Bakugo turns, meaning to leave giving the other a quick hand wave. ] not like I am going to be looking for you on purpose.

Of course. Though, I should hope that you do, should you become injured.

[ Joshua gets it now. He's that type. ]
